Did you know it takes 21 days to form a habit? Well, you have been with us officially for three weeks and you are now a part our lives.
We have laughed so much with you the last three weeks that we've added more stomach muscles! And one night after talking to Grandma and Grandpa on Skype when you were asked, "Es tú ponzón grande?" you looked at your belly and said "Mí panzón es grande" ("My belly is huge!"). (For those reading in on this conversation, Gustavo has the smallest belly imaginable.)
I've been so proud of you because you have had so many new things to learn and lots of new habits, for example:
- Eating with a fork ("tender, pro favor")
- Wiping your mouth with your napkin instead of your shirt
- Asking, "May I use the bathroom, please?" instead of saying, "Tengo ir pee pee!"
- Washing the dishes while not running all the water
- Using a little toothpaste instead of half the tube
- Sitting nicely to do letters and numbers
- Going up and down the stairs
- Being quiet while someone is on the phone
- Not hitting, bitting, or licking
- Waiting at a restaurant to leave until everyone is finished eating
- Having a new name (Caleb Gustavo Kersey)
- And learning English
In the last 3 weeks you have slept in 4 different beds and still not at your new home in Nashville. As we wait and pray we know that you will continue to grow and learn in leaps and bounds and we won't ever give up on you.
Thanks for all the laughs and for being teachable!!
Love, MOM
